Sorry to meet up with you guys on such short notice for a gamenight, and with finals coming up and everything, why exactly would you want something like a Halo Custom Edition gamenight, hosted by mini no less. You're probably thinking this is a trick.

Well, you're in luck, for it is not a trick, and we will actually be playing a game of Halo CE on a server I created with the listed maps below. Why? Because June 6th is my birthday, that's why.

So first and formost, lets go ahead and give you guys the time in which we'll be playing. At 4:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time. That is, on the time zone scale, GMT -7. So, in GMT time zone, it would be 11:30 PM. (Sorry legal, it was the only time I could fit it in, luckily, the server will be running all night, even after I am asleep.) Now, find out which timezone you live in and it's relativity to the GMT time zones, and calculate if it will be convienient for you or not. So now that we know the basics, let's dive straight into the actual meat of the topic.

These seven maps are (For the most part) halo reach weapon based. I wanted to try them out, and what better way to do so then to post up a good game night, right?

Now, the server will be named Mini0013xx_Birthday, so if you need to find the server, look for that. Also, finding it won't be that hard because the dedicated server will be hosted in version 1.09ce. If you did not previously have the game, then please update it so that it is at version 1.09.

Lastly, what if you never had the game to begin with, and piracy is needed. Now, what would you ever do? Miss out on a (not so) important event such as this? No need to worry, all you need to do is simply use one of the serial keys I am providing you here.

Here I have provided you with twenty different serial keys. While I am not a big fan of pirating, I know that the serial keys will be needed for the ones who want to join but do not have access to.

Now , I only need to know your serial key if you decide to choose one of the ones I listed, because when two serial keys are used in one game, then the two players cannot join eachother. Me and my friend Chris have done so, and that was the result, we couldn't join eachother in a game. If you have your own key, please do not show it.

Now, I can't control everything, so I'll let you guys control what gametype we play. Even though we'll only be playing slayer based game types, this can go further than you think. Phantoms, slayer, team slayer, the choices can go on. I'll post a poll up top to see which gametype will win. It's up to you guys.

Well, that's it for this super duper long post, don't forget to sign up for the gamenight, as I will be creating the init.txt. Gametypes will be coded into the init.txt upon June 5th, when the voting round will end.

Alright, but you would need to buy a normal Halo game not Custom Edition. It's basically a free addon. Kinda.

You don't need the CD. Just update the game to version 1.09 and you shouldn't need one. Bungie was nice to them with version 1.08, so versions 1.08 and 1.09 do not require a disk. There you go. Problem solved.

Did you double click on the automatic update? If so, then it should update the game for you, and you should have the latest version. If you don't, then just go to Halomaps.org and download the v1.09 update. I'll post a link when I have time.
