I'm sure it's just going to be based in the same universe and has nothing to do with the actual halo timeline, same thing with "Elder Scrolls Online".

I thought that it was supposed to be after the attack on harvest but before the attack on reach. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember hearing that somewhere.

And you could be right, maybe it doesn't take place on any real halo planet

yeah, as long as it is in the human covenant war in the time that I describe i think it would be really fun considering they have not made an halo games (except halo wars) in that time period. Nor are there many halo games in which you can control frigates and cursers or have giant armor engagements.

I might be over thinking what this game will be like. (hopefully not!)

I really hope space-battles get into the game, but a little while ago one of the dev-guys(don't remember who) said "we shouldn't get our hopes up about space battle". It still could get into the game though.

Kusa! You must play Section 8! Campaign sucks, but Section 8 have amazing multiplayer. Multiplayer is better than Halo 3's multiplayer. Game is cheap, you can buy it for PC or from XBL game market. There is also sequel for game. It's called "Section 8 Prejudice"
