I hate my keyboard, I writed this like 40 minutes and then, BAM, wtf happened? All of text is gone. >_> Anyway, let me start over again.

You can compare two games at here. Let me give example, remember to tell good things and bad things.
_____________________________________________

Halo 3.

+ Good campaign
+ Good Multiplayer
+ Funny dialogue
+ Warthog run
+ New weapons
+ New vehicles.
+ Forge
+ Easter Eggs.
+++++Soundtracks

- Campaign only had few good missions...
1.Sierra 117
2. Floodgate
3. The Ark
4. Halo
And my fav level is probably Floodgate.
- Many Multiplayer maps are horrible.
- Story was messed up littlebit.
Let me explain. Most of Hunters & Grunts, and even some Jackals sided with Covenant Separatists. None are seen helping you in Halo 3. NONE, I know why Bungie did this, "We didn't want to confuse the players too much. What? WHAT? players should play Halo 2 first, then Halo 3.
- Many dumb gametypes
- Not enough weapons.
- Ridiculous flood appearances. No joking. TWO times, sameway, slipspace jumps. Oh my god... I know that ties to story, but still..

Overall, this game deserves 8.8/10
_______________________________________

Next, we have Fallout: New Vegas(Probably best game ever made)

+ Story
+ Quests
+ Open World
+ Soundtracks
+ Skills
+ Perks
+ Companions
+ Weapons
+ Enemies
+ DLCs
+ So much things to discover.
+ Easter Eggs.
+ Best mods ever
+ FOMM
+ Ability to build your own city etc(with mod)
+ Funny Dialogue.

Now, you're probably thinking, "What, he thinks this game is perfect? lool) Well, then you're wrong... This game have very very bad things.

-BUGS BUGS BUGS BUGS! No joking, this must be buggiest game in the world Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
- Loading Screens! HOLY FCKING -CHEESECAKE- LONGEST LOADING SCREENS EVER
- Deathclaws. Worst enemies ever. Why did they design them to this game.
- VERY Dumb AI
- Some quests are too confusing.
- Too many factions.

Still, I give this game, 9.4/10.00, even tho it have BUGS!

Oh, and don't start defending Halo 3 now, please, this is my opinion, of course you can ask why I gave that and that, or something like that. Please, I'm sorry, my english is not perfect, so tell me any spelling or grammar mistakes.

And second thing, I know i'm comparing RPG game to FPS shooter. So what, I can still compare them.

Marathon Vs. Halo
As a whole!

Marathon series

+Made by Bungie
+Remade for newer computers after they were no longer supported by modern graphics cards
+Addictive
+Storyline (Confusing, yet interesting. Could be interpreted in multiple ways)
+Long, hard campaign. (No sick jokes here)
+Multiplayer still active
+Many scenario mods (15+ level custom campaigns with multiple different storylines and professional looking areas)
+Released source code
+Music
+Ambient sounds
+Games looked great for a 1994-1996 game. (Nothing like HL2 in 1998, but still great)
+Games were originally mac games, but were then ported to the windows and Linux format, as well as the Mac OSX format
+No greedy Microsoft
+A dedicated community
+Great action
+Great encounters
+Great game
+Survival mode

Halo
+Also made by Bungie
+Modern game
+Extremely fun
+Great Campaign
+Great Storyline that you do not have to think about
+Great Encounters
+Great games
+Firefight mode
+Very active multiplayer
+Halo CE modding community still active, with few custom campaigns. (Ranging from 2 - 6 missions)
+Music
+Books and movies based off of it
-Microsoft
-Two different game companies creating the same thing
-Original founders left the game
-(Besides Halo 1 and 2) Games are only Xbox Exclusive

What is wrong with microsoft? You're probably using Windows 7 right now.

And you must compare games, listing microsoft is not good comparing. It's not ingame.

ummm, hl2 came out in 2004, and hl1 came out in 1998. i know it was a mistake, but just pointing it out. apart from that, yeah, i agree that halo should be on PC. i reckon microsoft is okay, and is nowhere near as terrible (and greedy) as activision (and i hope they dont, EVER.)

I must say again. You're comparing ENTIRE FRANCHISE to one game.
You must choose one game.

And again, how is Microsoft bad thing?
"Two different game companies...." Da wut?
Original founders left the game..Don't worry, 343i gonna make Halo 4 good.

I'm comparing the Marathon series to the Halo series.

Also, I don't like Microsoft. Greedy people. :/

Marathon has a smaller, better community, while Halo has more games and a larger community.

I could swear to God that steam said Half Life 2 was made in 1998, and Half life 1 in 1996. Oh well.

it could have started development in 1998 or whatever, but if a game that looked THAT good was to come out in 1998.... well, lets just say that people would have gone absolutely crazy.
